About Shore Realty

Shore Realty was born in 2006 out of the frustration of having to co-work with the part time agents and the agents in training that fill the ranks of the Big Brand companies. While associated with one of the countries largest real estate franchises, Greg & Terry Cremia became fed up with how their clients were getting treated in their absence from the office. The big box companies tend to hire any one regardless of their ability to sell real estate to fill the ranks and help the company meet franchise quotas. Co-founders Greg & Terry Cremia began to realize their clients were losing out when these agents got involved and did something about it.

Shore Realty was created with the idea that when the public trusts us with their welfare, they shouldn't be risking ending up with a part time or unsupervised new agent handling their home. Sometimes, small is better!

GREG CREMIA, Senior Broker, Licensed 1989

I moved my young family to the Outer Banks in 1979. In 1989, I started selling real estate here on the Outer Banks and have never looked back. I have seen and been a part of tremendous changes here and I still love this place so much that I can not imagine living anywhere else. If you want a piece of this paradise then you can count on my experience to make the process painless and profitable. I was one of the very first agents to offer Free Buyer Agency and I am still one of the few who will not force you into a binding buyer agency agreement. My computer skills will keep you up to date with the newest properties on the market so that you stay on top.

TERRY RUSH, Broker In Charge, Licensed 2003

Ask your agent how long they've lived here! Do they really know the beach? I am from "Tar Heel" stock, having half of my family here my whole life. I grew up fishing and boating on the coastal waters of Southeastern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina and am a ten-year permanent local resident. Don't you want an agent who didn't just move here? I specialize in selling Outer Banks Real Estate including ocean front homes, investment property, second homes, retirement dream homes, condos/townhouses, vacant land and income property in all of Dare and Currituck Counties, from Corolla, Duck, and Southern Shores through Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Colington and Nags Head.

Pat Preston, Broker Licensed 2006

Pat is a lifelong resident of Nags Head, having moved here in 1957 when his parents decided to pursue their dream of living on the Outer Banks. Along with an older brother and younger sister, he spent most of his family time on the beach, mostly surf fishing with beach combing and sea glass hunting any time there was a chance. His father founded the North Carolina Beach Buggy Association in 1964 to ensure that access to the beaches  on Hatteras Island would be open for all time, as restrictions were already beginning a mere few years after the implementation of the United States first national seashore at Cape Hatteras.

"Needless to say, my wife Kathy and our two boys, Robert and Matt spent most of our leisure time doing the same. Robert is now married to a wonderful lady Angela, and they have made us blessed grandparents of two little bundles of joy. Anya and Sean makes us all children again, and again the beach is where we all love to be every chance we get. The beach is where time never changes, it looks the same now as it did in the fifties, maybe just a little more westward."

"I got a job at the Outer Banks Trading Post #2 from Charlie Griffin Jr in 1964 as a bag boy, in 1969 Tom Rhodes bought the store and re-named it Surf Side Supermarket, and I continued to work there until 1978. It was then that Tom had had enough, and being like a second father to me, figured a way for me to purchase the business. When Safeway decided to attempt opening a grocery store in 1982, my wife and I decided T-Shirts, souvenirs, salt water taffy might be a better future for us, so we re-named the store Souvenir City and enjoyed the seasonal business life until we sold in 2004. One of my favorite vendors was Panama Jack suntan lotions, the owner Al Shockett asked me if I’d want to rep his line here and enjoy doing it still. Greg and Terry Cremia, who I fish with a lot, suggested I get my real estate license, which I did, then they gave me job with their firm, Shore Realty. I’ve been very fortunate to have their experience and training that got me up to speed quickly in 2006. As a people person, I love hearing the ideas and dreams that clients have looking for that perfect property, whether it happens or not. My parents were both in the real estate business, watching how they dealt with clients taught me the love for conversation and how to treat people respectfully. That, I promise, you’ll get from me as well."
